Dafu never knew his parents, or even when he was born. His earliest memories consist of his travels around North Western parts of Mistone with a travelling tradesman who adopted him as an apprentice. Dafu wasn't exactly treated bad by his master, but there was no doubt that he was accepted only because he did free labour. At the age of 19 on the way to Leiolon, Dafu and his master were attacked by two thieves. Seeing Dafu as the lesser of the two threat the bandits quickly dispatched the master, and turned their attention to Dafu. A third stranger appeared in that moment. The stranger unsheathed two longswords in one graceful motion, and with the blinding whirlwind of steel that followed the thieves dropped motionless to the ground. Dafu has never met a man that who inspired him before. Sure, he has seen many skilled, or wealthy men, and while he was sometimes jealous of their position, he never pictured himself dedicating his life to becoming what they were. The stranger that stood before him that day was different. Dafu saw his own purpose in life at that moment. He would dedicate his life to the perfection of the sword, the craft of it, as well as the art of swordplay. Dafu spent the next 2 years travelling the North Western parts of Mistone on his own, using his masters tools to learn a little of weapon craafting that he could. Once he felt confident enough he dispoed of all of what his previous life offered, and set out to a new life.
