Ven's younger years were spent amongst a middle-class family at the base of an old Grey Peak mountain. Rather than participate in the traditional routines of the rest of the Delric family, Ven often skipped the common antics of his two brothers and trekked up the base of the mountain everyday when possible. Hidden behind the fold of a mountain pass was a crumbling old tower of limestone and wood. Inside the blue wizard Delidrithan dedicated years to the study of stale arcane encyclopedias and the complex formulas of transmutation. Ven watched and gathered what bits of knowledge he could understand and kept the elder magician company, discussing anything from the mysterious beasts of the realm to old druidic rituals. As Ven became an adult, Delidrithan had finally succumbed to the sapping tendrils of time and left his possesions, including his life-long work, to his pupil. After a few years of preperation and study, Delric safeguarded the tower and the treasures it held with a magical barrier, setting out for whatever may await him using meager supplies from his aging parent's home.
