Full Name: Golgoth Brimstone Deity: Corath Short Bio/Description: Born and raised in the accursed city of Arabel. A city founded in strive, malice, and eternal hatred. A city most despised of all cities. The son of a seamstress and a watch sergeant of the black guards or Arabel. It was only natural that Golgoth would follow in his father's footsteps and join the city guard. He showed little magical ability, and lacked the formal training to aspire to the academies. No, Golgoth would be trained as a warrior of Arabel. The life of one of Arabel is little more than a nightmare in the fog of war. War, what Arabellian hasn't seen a lifetime of war. At the early age of 12, Golgoth was accepted into training at the Arabellian war academy. It would be 6 years before he would be able bear the title of guardsman of Arabel. Yet, finish his training he did ... and in fine fashion. He excelled in swordplay and weaponry. Always competing with the young men above his class. Upon graduating for his training he was assigned to the third watch company. He soon earned a respected place in the company for his prowess in battle, yet it was his coldness for his enemy that most impressed those around him. Golgoth never showed emotion, nor allowed mercy to be his guiding principle. This impressed his Company Commanders, so much so that his name reached the ears of the priests of Corath. "A dark warrior in our midst we have." were the words his commander used when he was introduced to the Priest. "Perhaps, ... perhaps ... this one we shall watch." These were the only words spoken to him by the priest that day. But they were words that Golgoth has never forgotten. All Arabellians know of Corath, most know the doctrine and dogma by heart. Few there are that do not follow the faith, those that don't quickly learn to tolerate it or at least keep their opinions of the church to themselves. While Golgoth's mother was one of those who did not care for the church of Corath. She never spoke against it, nor did she praise it. Only Golgoth's father ever spoke about the religion, saying, "The Dark One ... it is he that has keep up all these years. Were it not for his priest's the city would have fallen or been destroyed long ago." It wasn't until he was training for the service of Arabel that he learned of Corath and accepted the teachings. "The minister of death ... should know his master.", were the words he once was told during his training and has strived to live those teachings. His devotion and skills has earned him some respect in the Arabellian army. Though he recently was removed from his company and assigned to a new division. He has been assigned to the Black Guard. A division who answers only to the Chief Captains and the Clergy of Corath. His first assignment he was given after a week in the division. He is to sail to Hampshire and observe the happenings there. The Priest mentioned that a group of Corathite loyalists have established themselves in the area. He is to learn more of them, most especially about their upstart leader ... a priestess named Chanda. She is to be watched closely ... here doings reported ... her failures observed. Golgoth Brimstone now sails to Hampshire to do the bidding of his masters.
