Background
Winno was born into a small family, consisting of herself, her older brother, her paternal uncle and her parents. When she was 28, her father, Randal Quinn, left on his "big business trip" that he'd been planning since before she could remember. Around Winno's 30th birthday, the family received a letter from him telling them briefly he'd decided to join the war against Blood and wishing Winno a happy birthday. No one has seen or heard from him since.
While it had been happening subtly since her father had left, her uncle, Gorshin, took the position of advisor to Winno's mother, Rosie, once they got word of her father joining the fight and the household's atmosphere took a turn for the worse, in the girl's opinion.
