From the meadow to the ghetto would the be easiest summation of Regrin's life thus far. When he came to the dull realization that going far in his life meant the creek at the edge of his father's land, he sought change. Now instead of fields thick with wheat and grain he prefers the shadows of the city. Often he brings a smile to a passerby with a smile of his own. Little do they realize that his look of glee isnt brought on by his halfling blood, but rather the purse of coin he cut from their belt. However it wasnt always like this, it began in his homeland when he was a boy. When his father handed him a shovel it felt as though he alwasy found rock. When his mother showed him the way to bring the crop to maturity he only found the crop wilting and dying. It was only when he took his own initiative did he feel complete. He could support himself easily if he tossed aside the law. An apple here a jewel there, life was easy when his talents were employed. He finally unveiled this success to his mother and father but they resented him. This sent Regrin into a rage. He awoke the morning before his father planned on taking the first of their crop to market and brought it in early. When he arrived in the market place he was there far earlier than most farmers, several hours before the moon even ceased to shine. He undersold the hard earned crop and bought himself a ticket on the first ship to leave his land. Now Regrin finds himself, a young halfling in this new land, with new opportunities. Here he hopes to be appreciated for his true qualities, though he worries his size will discredit him. He walks downt he dock, bag slung over his shoulder awaiting his new future. Leaving the past behind him, depending solely on himself.......
