Backround - Chani, as she is called by friends, was abandoned as an orphan. Her parents were in troubled times, and sold her as a last restort. The only things she has ever possesed, until now, was the clothes on her back, and a single rapier that she had been given from one of her foster parent's daughters before running away. Having always been alone, she has learned to know nature and live off of it, and to only depend on nature and what it can give her. The only true friend Chani had ever had was one of her foster sisters under the name Devone El'nur. At the time, Chani was very young, going onto eleven. They were always together whenever the elder El'nurs didn't stop them. However the time came when Chani's foster parents whipped her, and that drove her almost to insanity. She was caught by Devone when she was almost out the door, running away. Devone did all she could to get her to stay, but Chanilsa was determined to leave. As a parting gift, Devone snuck into her parent's room and stole her mother's prized rapier, which she always talked about and showed off. Devone's last words were, "I swear I'll come find you. In twenty years when I get away from my mum and da, I swear I'll search every house and forest and mountain until I find you." To this day, Chani waits for her coming. The first place Chani went to was the forest, where she and Devone had always explored and played together. She had lived with her for about two years, so she knew the area fairly well. From then on, she hunted and lived in the wilderness, always moving around yet never really leaving. When bored, she would clumsily attempt to train herself in the art of fencing. She had read a book about it at one of her old foster parent's homes before, and wished to learn the art.
