Upon finally graduating from the lifestyle of early Sun Elven childhood Velar Unae became enlisted as an attendant (Not apprentice) to an eccentric wizard in Amluarial. He spent years reading the heroic tales of his ancestors (and perhaps distant neighbors) from his master's library and became enchanted with the prospect of dungeon delving and chartering new seas and mapping mountain ranges. Velar's interest in the sword and bow was more than customary, thus noted by his Master who decided to ignore any brief desires to begin Velar's arcane tutalege beyond simple cantrips. Seeking to find new ways to use his youth for his benefit, Velar's master decided it best to direct his resources to information gathering. Armed with his desire to discover and holding dear the zest to travel, (some Elves jokingly suggested Velar's birth a product of Human and Wild Elf), Velar left port Saida and sailed to Lorindar to learn of the world and its peoples. More importantly to report any hints of great powers that could work against the Elven people.
