when you look once again you see the shadow standing before you, white tresses wrapped with shells, feathers and bone trinkets. Dark skin ripples over lean muscle in the places its not wrapped in bone or animal skin.
Amber eyes gaze through you the patterns of the wilds evident in the light scarring across his exposed skin from brambles and thorns
Larger hints of paler flesh lie under feathers, and strips of hide wrapping his lean form, the eyes never leaving you as you look, until the bird about makes a sound and you look up
and when you look back the shadow is.... why he has vanished without a sound
