Shrike has the memories one would expect of an Aasimar. Primarily these are happy memories of growing with a human father and mother in a kind family and the advantages that such a life entails. His differences, that marked him as an Aasimar, were noticed early but were seen positively rather that negatively. Shrike had no desire as a child to become a cleric and always believed he would follow his father and become a merchant However, on his 16th birthday shrike started gaining memories of a childhood other than his own. These memories are mixed within his own to such an extent that sometimes they are hard to separate. The memories seem to be that of a Tiefling boy of similar age. Many of the memories have to do with people lashing out at the child in word and attitude, though the young Tiefling boy does not seemed to have done anything other than offend their sense of what is proper. His parents have sent him to mages and scholars that are within their reach financially, but no one can determine the cause of these extra memories. Shrike has spent the last 4 years fruitlessly searching for an answer. Since additional, more powerful mages or scholars are beyond his family’s means, Shrike has decided to make his way into the extended world to gain experience and money to help answer his unanswered questions. He has become more and more convinced that it is Lucinda who has done this to him and he has decided to be come a Cleric and follow her to try and discern the reason or goal of what she has done. Shrike is much less hostile towards Tieflings, and other races that are often frowned on, because of his experiences. He is of staunchly good alignment though and his tendency to try to see the good in others does not keep him from action when it becomes obvious that there is evil involved. Shrike sees his calling as a cleric as one of rallying all races to work together for the common good, even those races that might not normally be accepted as capable of sustained good. He is a bit idealistic, but not easily fooled by those that would lie to him for their own gain. He gives trust freely the first time, but it must be re-earned at a great price if it is betrayed.
