Savannah Trentorna was sold into slavery after she killed a Captain in the Royal Guard of King Vallen who had tried to rape her. She was sentenced to life as a slave. She was purchased by a brothel owner who tried to force her to become a prostitute, but she escaped killing the brothel owner and fled to Hlint. Soon after, she was caught robbing a merchant and sentenced to lose her left hand but escaped with the aid of Torian Grendus (a Pirate Captain). The old grizzled pirate developed a weak spot for the young religious girl and soon came to think of her as an adopted daughter. Aboard the pirate Captains ship, she quickly learned she must earn her keep among the other crew members or go hungry. Over time, Savannah became very proficient at helping the wounded and along with her religious beliefs, eventually found she was imbued with a special ability to help others through her worship. While visiting Port Hampshire, Grendus was apprehended and Savannah suddenly found herself alone and without an ally. Eventually she made her way to Hlint to start a new life as a cleric and an adventurer.
