Dwarf: City and Town Structures

Dwarves shape their cities out of the stone their mountains are made of. In an almost religious approach, they carve each corner and wall with the utmost care. When entering a dwarven hall, the detail placed on every carved rune or steeled arc is beyond anything that can be made by non-dwarven masons or stoneworkers. A dwarven hall is always growing. At the end of the glittering halls of rock and metal, are the everlasting mining shafts with their tireless workers, chiseling away deeper into the earth. At any entry to their mountain homes, strong stalwart walls stand guard, protecting them from any outside influence. These walls are able to keep any enemy from entering their halls, and the few lucky to walk within a dwarven hall feel as if they have entered a completely new world.
