Background
I was orphaned when my a caravan of farmers looking for a better life was ambushed and wiped out by a horde of orcs. I was found by a merchant who took me to the nearest city and gave me to an orphanage. I tried to pick the pocket of a wizard but was unsuccessful. He took me home and made me his apprentice. One day I went out for some components for him and returned to find his tower folded in upon itself, the result of a magical experiement gone wrong. I decided to strike out on my own and to try and make something of myself.
