Born in the outskirts of Dapplegreen and orphaned as a child around 40, Utopia was taken in by a small religious family. A human man called Daniel, an elven woman, Sehess, and their half-elf daughter Lilly. They gave her food, warmth, and love, but were initially repaid with only words of thanks. Over time, as Utopia grew older, those words of thanks were partnered with love and happiness. She became more fond of her family, helping them with harvesting on their little farm, and learning about cooking with her little sister from their mother. On some special ocassions the mother of the family would tell her daughter and Utopia the story of how the family came to worship Aeridin. Teaching Utopia the ways of Aeridin, preseving and protecting life, and how without the understanding of sorrow, you can't fully understand happiness. Over time Utopia grew fond of Aeridin and genuinely believed in the teachings. She was fascinated by magic and those wizard and sorcerers who weilded it. Hearing stories from her new mother of old friends who used to practice such things. Utopia listened intently, longing to ask if she could ever be a Wizard, but she held back her questions, because she felt her mother would prefer her to become a cleric. One day the family visited Fort Vehl and whilst exploring Utopia and Lilly came across a crypt. They could hear groans and whispers coming from inside. Being young and naive they went inside, and what they saw shocked them, making Utopia fear for her life, she ran to the entrance and find her parents. Lilly was unable to move, she wanted to, and every instinct told her to run away, but her legs just wouldn't move. Utopia told Daniel and Sehess what had happened. Instantly dropping what they were carrying they sprinted to the crypt to save Lilly. Running inside, trying to find her they left Utopia outside with the clear instructions to not enter no matter what she heard, never enter. Utopia had waited several meters away from the crypt entrance for several hours, just watching the door, hoping her family would reappear. Bursting into tears she attracted the attention of a traveling human wizard going by the name of Snow. He gave Utopia some bread and water. After calming her down a bit, he asked what was wrong. She explained to him that something horrid had happened, but upon hearing it he knew that nothing could be done to help her family now. Feeling sorry and immensly empathetic to Utopia, he asked if she wanted to come with him to his house. She obliged. It took several months before Utopia would get over the death of her family, but she knew from the teachings of Aeridin, that whilst it was sad, she should not mourn over them for long. Snow thought for a moment, looking back at some inadvertant signs that Utopia had let off. She seemed to be interested in magic, but had never publically shown she was. He offered to mentor her for a while, teach her some of the basics. Utopia leaped at Snow, hugging him. She had always wanted to learn how to be a Wizard, but never imagined that a Wizard would want her to be a pupil. Many years had passed since then, and Snow had passed on. Utopia had decided to go to the nearest place possible where she could continue to study on her own personal quest to become a Wizard.
