Mahtar Anarkwene (Elvish for Warrior of the sun people, taken from Tolkien's English to Quenya translation) Short Bio: Mahtar was born into a kinship of Wild Elves that have lived secretly in the desert of Anuroch for hundreds of years. This group of elves had gone into hiding because their beliefs that other races are not useless and treacherous tainted them from being accepted honorably by the other Top-Elven races. Mahtar's people believe that all races could someday live in some sort of harmony and civility. Their worship of Aeridin proves that fact, they believe their deity resides in all living things. This belief strongly opposes the normal Kithairien beliefs of most Wild Elves and has earned them banishment from Wild Elf circles. Mahtar has grown up under these harsh desert conditions learning to hunt, fight, and survive. He began studying as a monk about 30 years ago and feels he is ready to re-enter the rest of the world of Layonara. Even though his parents feel he is too young, for an Elf, to venture out on his own, he has committed to travel the world and to do his part to bring all the civilized races together. He soon finds that the 'civilized' world isn't quite that civil, but his monk training keeps his spirits high and balanced, and his hearty beliefs in Aeridin keeps him pressing on into the world. Since he has lived a struggling life for so many years, the treasures of most men do not entice him, he gathers only what he needs to maintain survival and his quest.
