Danpun was born in Yilth of Calishan but suffered tradgedy at an ealy age when his mother died when he was only ten years of age. His father, a paladin of Toran, had not the time or soft skills required to raise children on his own. His father gave him to a nearby clan of monks known as the Order of the Fist who had a small commune at the edge of the forest to the west. During his formative years at the monastary, Danpun spent his time in either toiling in the fields, meditating, or in the practice yard. The focus of training was always on discipline and balance. Training the body was demanding, and days would often be spent without food or water in silent concentration. Exercises that empasised balance and repetition were commonplace. Blisters, callouses, and strength was the result. After earning his sash and robe, symbols of rank in the cloister, he was assigned to caravan duty. Goods and information were traded between the enclaves of the Order. Danpun was mainly responsible for loading and unloading of the wagons, but once or twice was allowed to travel. It were these first travels that spawned the wanderlust that eventually led to his departure.
