Description: The dark elf seems preoccupied with something, his violet and piercing eyes narrowed in concentration, staring into the distance. His long silvery white hair is gathered in a simple pony tail, keeping it clear of his face, though a few rebellious strands wave about eerilly as if caught in a light breeze. His face has the handsome youthful look characteristic of most elves - but is also subtly different. There are cruel lines, and a hawkish pointed nose, he notices your scrutiny, and his pale lips curl into a bitter and superior grin. Bio: Born to a lowly guard of House d' Streea, Barra never had any real chance of rising to power in the fiercely competitive society of the drow. At an early age, he was selected for training at the academy of magic- quickly outdistancing the other pupils with his brilliant mind. One day his hunger for power and knowledge lured him into stealing a tome of power from his master, whom Barra thought was holding him back. Barra will not speak of what happened that night in a small cave just outside the city, but has had a strong afinity for shadow magic ever since. His master soon found an excuse to have the promising student expelled, having suspected him of stealing several advanced books for study from time to time. Without an education or trade, he seemed doomed to serve as a librarian or some other minor scholarly work the rest of his life. This was when he met Llieh Tsoss d'Streea, the youngest of the many sisters ruling the House. Rare as it may be amongst the drow, this was a case of love at first sight. They took to seeing eachother in secret, since romance with such a lowborne was forbidden by the House Matriarch. As fate would have it, they were discovered by a favored husband of the Matriarch in a .. compromising situation. Llieh acted quickly, slaying the man before he could raise an alarm. The two of them knew it was their death should they be caught, so they tried to escape the d'Streea enclave at once. Providence was not with them, and they were caught, tried and sentenced to death by a veangeful Matriarch. On the eve of their excecution, they were rescued in a daring raid by a small band of Az'atta followers. After much talk with their saviours, they agreed to be escorted to the surface to start new lives together. At first suspicious of the motives of their saviors, Barra and Llieh soon became contemptuous of the weakling "good drow". They exploited their generosity to the utmost during the long trek towards the surface, but the band of Az'atta followers never once complained, instead they would smile knowingly. Unable to find fault in the motives of the band, and feeling grateful for their rescue, Barra and Llieh grew to respect the ways of the band by the time they reached the surface world. As they make their journey into the light, these 2 dark elf outcasts, find themselves questioning much of their upbringing- and even the universal truths of drow society and life. They can never return, and face assassins of the Matriarch should they ever be discovered by her agents. They must find shelter, and try to survive in a world that distrusts or even hates them on sight. What will happen? Will they become unlikely heros in the battles against Bloodstone? Will they become disillusioned and bitter of the treatment they recieve from the surfacers... ultimately resuming their evil ways? Whatever else - it is sure to be... interesting.
