Elf: Weapons

Firm yet flexible, powerful yet beautiful, to the elves, a bow is an extension of their spirits. To craft a bow is an affirmation of their culture not a matter of practicality.

Short or long, with composite frames or just slim designs, all bows are custom made to the user, and they are never made in large quantities for armies or to be sold to a non-elf. Each bow effectively becomes a representation of the personality of its user.

Despite their natural affinity toward all types of bows, elves are known to craft other types of weapons. In particular, they excel at creating thin blades. Long and elongated, and flat as a leaf, these wondrous creations are said to be able to slice the thickest of hides and cut through armor made of the most hard of metals as if it was butter. They also forge scimitars, the only weapon that is commonly found outside their lands. It is the only weapon they consider simple enough to trade freely.
