Being abandoned by her real parents when she could hardly walk or speak, lucky Mara was adopted by a caravan master in the city of Arabel. From young she would tag along with each caravan run from cities, towns and even insignificant villages all over Faerun. She was trained in the combat through real combat situations such as bandits ambush and hostile creatures that lurked in the woods. As a fast learner, Mara proved to be an asset to the caravan's defense. When not on any runs which is rare, Mara would love to visit Old Sheckles in Arabel. Sheckles is a old locksmith who made all sorts of locks for clients from all walks of life with the right amount of coins. Mara would always love to challenge Sheckles by picking the locks that Sheckles has designed. Despite this, Sheckles treated Mara like his own daughter probably because Mara is the one who actually likes to talk him about things other than purchasing a lock. In fact, Mara feels closer to Old Sheckles than the caravan master who treats her more like a subordinate than his daughter. Other than Sheckles, Mara has few friends mainly because she seldom stays in one place for long. Deep in her heart, she cant deny the fact that she longed for the company of a group of trustworthy friends whom she can travel the world with. It appears to be one of those usual runs for Mara. However things are different this time round, having volunteered to scout the woods ahead, Mara stumbled into an unknown portal. The portal dissapiated as soon as she went through and Mara found herself in a whole new world. Though it was hard to accept the fact that she was no longer on Faerun, Mara is determined to explore this new place with her scouting skills and will not hesitate to use her blade if she must. Perhaps starting a career and her life afresh here is not such as bad idea after all.
