Born in La'naume forest, close to the Tower of Nature. Germaine practices the skills of her mother in protecting the forest from those who would harm her. Her father worked within that great tower, and so from an early age she saught to enter and discover it's secrets. However her mother was poisoned by a goblin arrow and was weakened forever. Germaine chose duty over whimsy and stayed at her mothers side. Her father did not know of this and came to believe his daughters resistance to training as his apprentice was his wife's doing. Wrongly, he concluded, his wife did not approve of his work. Years went by and the secret Germaine kept ate away at the girl util she became a woman. Until one cold winter day her mother passsed away. Her father could not communicate his grief. He would not accept that his daughter had hidden his wife's illness. The two, heartbroken, beagn to live seperate lives within the same house. So Germaine continued defending the forest, until during the spring later that year. A young elf, Elfax, came to stay. He was assitant to some sort of Wizard from the Tower of Fire, come to visit her father. (Elfax brought such light and joy to her heart. It was he who taught her some tricks that he had learned as an apprentice). She had no idea about what her father and the grim-faced wizard discussed. She knew that it myst be grave indeed, her father's mood became ever more solem. Without warning, her father sent her away. He claimed that she needed "to see the world". She knew there were darker motives. And so she travels, waiting for the day her father sends word for her to return. To her home and to the forests of La'naume.
