Druke was born in the Far Reach Forest, to the clan of the Elk. His father was one of the tribal council members at the time, and such, Druke was held in high regard within the tribe. Druke was known for being kind and willing to learn new things and to adapt to changes. He also was a superb swordsman, using the tradtional scimitar, dagger combination of the "Elken'an" or Elk warrior. He hunting a great deal in his younger years, but his tracking abilities found use on the battlefield later on. During one battle with Clan Fox, Druke was sent ahead to track enemy scouts, to keep the from reporting their finds. He jumped through the trees silently stalking the runners, when he realized he had been lead into an ambush. An arrow struck him in the leg, and he fell down from the tree landing on his back losing consciousness. He had fallen in enemy lands, and was then found by an enemy princess, Seluna of the Clan Fox. She, knowing she could not escort him to her camp alone without putting herelf in danger, sent her panther companion to get aid and has Druke bound to a tree. In the time after her panther left Druke and Seluna, they talked, to a point of a misty friendship being born, Seluna even used her powers to heal Druke's broken leg, which Druke was greatful for, and noted the mercifulness he had never seen in his enemy. Although not enough to have her help Druke when her aid arrived, she does have second thoughts about having him killed. While at the camp, Seluna (who is the witchdoctor's daughter, Druke finds out) is assigned to care for Druke until it is time for him to be sacraficed to he spirits. In that time, Seluna and Druke talk more, and thier misty friendship shines though. Seluna and Druke fall in love and plot to flee the far reach, to go north, anywhere, to get away from this tribal war crazyness. One night they flee together, as planned and head north, silently. Seluna and Druke have been traveling the northen part of Mistone ever since, and only once so far has a Clan Fox warrior been sent out to seek out Seluna, but Druke dispatched of him, leaving him in a tree, never to be found, or so they hope. They took on the surname Syride, and learned the ways of Aeridin from the druids which inhabit the north.
