The Black Fang Shield

The Black Fang Shield is now only spoken of rarely, if it even is. Only scholars with an interest in pre-cataclysmic weaponry may even know of it.

They know it as a shield depicting a very vivid picture of a black cobra, poised to strike. Rumor has it that, if bore by the appropriate bearer, this black cobra would lash out from the shield to poison the bearer's assailants, making it both a shield as well as a weapon.

However, the scarce documented information about the shield does not confirm nor deny this.

The name Syther is sometimes mentioned by these old weaponry scholars as being the person who last bore the Black Fang Shield, however, if he ever existed and what became of him has been subject to debate between scholars of the pre-cataclysmic time for centuries now.
