Hurm: Defenses

Before the Black Plague, there was a wooden palisade around the town. Often in disrepair, it was of little help when the great Blacks exhaled their disease-ridden breath over the screaming townsfolk. Since that time, with the aid of neighboring towns and the relief materials that came by the shipful, the palisade has been rebuilt stronger and the town's huge gates reinforced. Angelica, aware of the forays of the regnant of her capital city into Red Bear territory, has sent a hundred of her personal guard to assist in the defense of the city from opportunists while it rebuilds. Add to that, the hundred Red Bear loyalists currently patrolling the streets; oddly enough, Hurm is one of the safer places to be - for now.
