Chances are you smelled him before you saw him, especially if you were down wind -- like standing on the beach at low tide., the smell of ocean salt and seaweed. When you first see him you might think he's underfed, but on closer inspection you realize that he is all bone, muscle and leathery tanned skin. He's eyes are the blue green of the ocean and his sun bleached blond beard seems to fly in every direction. His hair too, even trapped under a swath of brown cloth, seems to be headed in every direction at once. He doesn't walk so much as surge, crashing thru whatever happens to be in his way. In his hand he holds a trident and around his neck is a beautifully handcrafted Shindalerian holy symbol -- not like the ones you by in a temple, but something made from a clam shell and painted and fired by an expert artisan.
