He was born in Haven, in the outscirts of the mighty castle. He lived in a simple family and it seemed he would live a life of a farmer when he grew up. That made Rufus furious, he hated the idea of working on a farm for the rest of his life. He was a boy with big plans, he wanted to become a man with power and lots of it. So instead of helping his parents at the farm he sneeked into Arcanum Libris that was just across the wall from his home. He showed great interest for all things magical and after months of hanging around in the Arcanum a wizard decided to teach him a few spells. After a few years of intensive studies Rufus was already able to cast quite a few spells. He wanted to tame the destructive powers of evocation, but he wished it only to make sure he was safe while traveling around. His true passion was necromancy, he was fascinated by the fact that someday he will be able to give and take life from nearly everyone. That he would be able to kill an army of oponents with a single spell and even without a single blast. Some at the academy said that they shouldn't have taught Rufus anything, they say that he is a bit mad and sometimes he doesn't deny it. He says that a person can't be totally sane to do great things. Character description: He is an individualist in general. He wants to become as powerful and famous as he can. He also tends to look at the material side of things - always looking for some profit. He will help others for free, but only if he is really nicely asked or is just touched by the story. But mostly he will help without payment if he sees some other profit in it, like the respect of others, the fact that others will owe him something or just the fact that his name will become more famous.
