Oramis grew up on a farm with his father and mother. His family were not wealthy and it was all that they could do to survive by working their small farm. Oramis however was never interested in tending to the farm with his father and mother. Instead he would spend his time puring over scrolls and tomes in his fanatical search for knowledge. Until his twelfth birthday Oramis' search for knowledge had been purely a hobby with no practical use. However, following a violent confrontation with his father, who wished Oramis to take a greater interest in the farm, Oramis in a fitfull rage caused their small kitchen to erupt into flames. His father was killed in the explosion and Oramis was exiled from the village. Oramis was destraight at both the village councils ruling and the death of his father, whom although he did not see eye to eye with loved greatly. Grudgingly Oramis left the village that had once been his home wondering where on earth he would go. After Oramis' exile he traveled from place to place finding menial work as a farmhand or errand boy always earning just enough to survive. At the age of 17 he was taken in by a caring mage in Spellgard. Oramis lived happily as the mage's apprentice for many years gradually learning how to control the magic flowing through his veins. Unfortunately the arrival of the drow in Spellgard ruined any chance Oranis had for a peaceful life with his Master. The kindly mage fell at the hands of a drow mage in defense of Spellgard leaving all his worldly posseissions to his apprentice. The death of His master at the hands of the drow inspired Oramis to strive for Law and Order and the death of those responsible.
