Recently retired from the magery school in Pranzis on the continent of Dregar, Elinmire was ousted from his position by an upstart mage of questionable morals. Having been refered to as the "book softened battered smudge" once too many times, he felt retirement was out of the question. So in an effort to become a "Battle hardened battle mage" he set out for his adventure. He is old, book smart, and often cranky. A sucker for a worthy pupil he hangs around young people because he misses teaching. He spends much of his time reading up on old mage tactics and directing his annoying familiar, a pixie, to leave him alone. Don't underestimate the learning of this man, his eyes are still bright, though his need creek as he stands up.
