Common Fishing boat - Rael Hauler

The Rael Hauler, or Raeler as most people call them, is an example of a local variation of the traditional fishing boats common throughout the world. The Raeler is a flexible little vessel that recently sprang up around Rael for use in the numerous rivers and lakes.

Although they are used mainly for fishing, these boats can also be used to run other cargoes up and down local rivers. The Raeler is a small, round little tub, with a deck which is mostly taken up by numerous hatches into which a catch can be dropped. Many small villages near Rael use this version or very similar versions of fishing boats on local rivers and lakes. However, the Raelers are usually unsuitable for open sea travel and have a tendency to overturn in rough waters.
