Writer's Wednesday XVII

Mercs, Treasure Hunters and The Curious, gather 'round!

Today we peek

into some of those items scattered around the lands to be

found. Leave no

stone unturned, no .... enemy unslain? (Something

distinctly Voraxian in

that!) Without further ado:

Aidin's Revenge- The life's work of a

heartbroken mother, Aidin's

Revenge was sword forged solely to kill the

Spine Clan werewolf that

slayed that mother's only son. It took her nearly

two decades as she

knew nothing of smelting or weapon crafting at the

beginning, and she

threw herself upon the sword when the werewolf was

defeated by her hand.

Copies have shown up recently, and there are rumors of

more powerful

versions now as well. This is an otherwise unremarkable copper

longsword.

Blue Rock Crystal- Chipped from the rock body of a blue,

dwarf-sized

creature, this crystal seems to offer a cooling radiance when

exposed to

heat.

Black Halberd- Origins unknown, this simple steel

halberd has an edge

that seems rimmed in blackness.

Elite Spawn

Loincloth- Once an embroidered silk kilt, this garment is

now covered in a

polished, rock-hard goo with enchanted vines embedded

in it. The cloth gives

off an odd pulse of energy and is wearable,

although the dead, writhing

vines cause it to move and shift on the

wearer's body.

Pointy Hat of

Midnight- Origins unknown, this velvety, deep black hat

is made of silk

with a thin brim and stands high off the head, coming to

a soft point with

stars cut into the nap and dusted with silver.
