Destroyer's Curse Arc

A backwoods town, a dead body and an old legend. I guess its way to pass the time. Villages dug something out of the old mine. Those that handled it seem to burst into flames. How interesting.

The city officials, while very... accommodating are not talking

Like most towns across the lands, they like only their own. I paid a lad to distribute some food and wine in effort to loosen tongues

In the mean time I will work with what I gathered.

Outbreak in another isolated village. It would seem the curse is on the move

I arrived at the village. Found another corpse, or should I say, corpses. The entire village gone. At least this way the only idiots I have to contend with are the adventuring types, not xenophobic farmers and miners.

One that has travelled to the village to “help” is a young priest of the Mistress's calling. This boy is barely out of his white shift and is more suited to the pleasure halls where is vapid personality is more suited. Not totally useless he did mange to contract the curse so I could study it from inception to death. No doubt he will pop up at the temple bindstone in couple of days quite whole with the memory of his suffering but without the burns and pain. If he does not, it is really no great loss.

On my regular trip to Katherian, I was summoned by the temple. They were interested in my findings with the curse and have asked me to keep them informed. Since the borders in Dregars have closed I see not advantage, and the temple concurs, to pursuing this curse as long as it does not disrupt temple business.

I decided to sail back to the Dove. The sun, sea air and the sailors are a welcome divergence. I can play with the new toys for the Dove I found in Katherian when we get home. It is wonderful when the temple is appreciative of my efforts. Much better deals .
