Darkness Falls

Sometimes I fall upon a path towards the maw of the Raging One.  I fell upon a darkness, quiet and bloody.  She drank from my veins, sending me to the oblivion of Pyrtechon.  But Pyrtechon wished me to remain, to send more to him before I am claimed.  I followed after the Dark Blade.  It was a long hunt, but eventually I came to her.  She claimed me as a slave, destroying my freedom.  I welcome it.  I can use her to rain fire upon this world and all it costs is a part of me.  A small price.  Then, once we have made the world burn, I will turn to her and drink her soul.

And she is not alone.  A Moon Shadow came and treated her like me and me like a dog.  He tells me they are from Hell.  I will drink his soul too and send him away from life, from death, from time and place.  They will welcome it at the end.

Dark Blade and I leave Moon Shadow and go north.  Cold consumes warmth.  A Soul Harvester meets us and we undam a river of blood.  Many goblins never again feel the pain of life, the terror of death.  The Soul Harvester leaves us and we travel south to an island.

We send many minotaurs in to nothing.  I leave a machine at their door so that oblivion awaits either from us or from it.  But there are many of them and so I fall in to darkness, but not nothing.

Once more I blink my eyes open next to the stone.  I weep at the light, having been so close to passing from being.  I take Firebeest and stand on my feet once more.  Ready.
