Jakaris was raised in the village of Adara, his families house almost in the Blood Desert. From a very early age, he felt a deep connection with nature, and was able to exercise this connection. For instance, when a poisonous snake was found in his parents bed, he alone was able to pick it up and carry it outside without being bitten and without having to resort to violence. It was then that his parents learned of the connection he had with nature, and it was then that he was allowed to roam freely into the desert. With the newfound freedom also came the obvious dangers, as not all of the creatures in the desert could be calmed. In one instance, he was attacked and hurt by some unknown beast. He barely managed to scare it away, and after that he never went unarmed into the desert and always had an animal companion close by. When he was seventeen, he encountered a wandering Dire Wolf, who he was eventually able to befriend. He named the Dire Wolf Citrys. The wolf has rarely left Jakaris' side, and fights fiercely at the first sign of a threat to himself or his master. As the time for him to leave home drew close, he was given a gift from his father: a briliantly carved scimitar, with the image of a hawk etched into it. From his mother he received a great many tears, and a suit of studded leather armor. He now wanders the wilderness, helping those he encounters and learning more of the natural world.
